Founders of Pacific Islander Health Partnership, Jane Ka’ala Pang and the late Victor Kaiwi Pang worked tirelessly with community leaders, advocating for Pacific Islanders to be counted in the Year 2000 census. Pacific Islander Health Partnership’s President, Audrey Kawaiopua Alo and Vice President, Heidi Quenga shared their beautiful stories in a series of Census Public Service Announcements. Pacific Islander Health Partnership continues the work that was started 20 years ago by partnering with community based organizations and encouraging Pacific Islanders to join in filling out their census forms.
